LINEAGE:  3rd Generation South African from Poland 

GREW UP IN:  Atlanta, Georgia where I was Bar-Mitzvah and became close to the Chabad Shliach, Yossi New

HAVE BEEN FRUM SINCE: 1999

HAVE BEEN IN YTM SINCE: 2000

THINGS I LOVE MOST ABOUT YTM:  the YTM Faculty, and especially Rabbi Lipskier, the farbrengens, and the music  

MY RESPONSIBILITIES AT YTM CONSISTS OF:  Serving lunch, dinner, maintaining the cookie situation before Chassidus, and kitchen cleanup.

I GAUGE MY TORAH STUDY AT WHAT LEVEL: 3 years more for s’micha (Rabbinical Ordination) 

HOW DO I MAKE THE MOST OUT OF MY TIME:  Utilizing every second very wisely and contributing to an extreme level of constant Torah study, learning music, fitness and trying not to spend all day in the kitchen 

WHAT DO I EXPECT TO GET OUT OF YTM: High level of knowledge in Chassidus, more connection to the Rebbe... to be a soldier and a Chasid of the Rebbe, a beautiful Chassidishe wife and family in the way of an everlasting edifice.

WHAT SURPRISED ME THE MOST:  whether the time is or is not utilized, how quickly the days weeks and months and even years fly by.

HOW I AM BETTER THAN BEFORE:  I have learned that there is a ‘yetzer hora’ (evil inclination) and the stronger the G-dly soul gets the stronger the yetzer hora gets and every day is a battle, but, the pleasure G-d gets from a Jew when he overcomes his yetzer hora is beyond words. Hashem should help that the days of Moshiach should be completely upon us, as the Torah says... the evil inclination will cease to exist in the time of Moshiach.

A WORD TO THE NEXT MASHGIACH: Ahavas Yisroel is the foundation of the whole Torah and the rest is commentary, love your fellow Jew and take care of him like you would yourself.
